Becoming an Adoptive Parent

Kids Hope United helps individuals who are interested in becoming adoptive parents in three separate ways:

Prospective adoptive parents may want to consider adopting children from the child welfare system whose biological parents' rights have been terminated and are awaiting permanent homes. This program recruits potential adoptive parents and provides for their training while moving them through the home study process. Kids Hope United also matches children with individuals who have successfully met program requirements and supports them with pre- and post-adoptive services.

For individuals interested in pursuing international adoption, Kids Hope United conducts home studies to determine if prospective adoptive parents are eligible to adopt a child through an international adoption agency. Kids Hope United has a number of partnerships with international agencies that allow us to connect children from many different countries to potential adoptive parents.

Adoption home studies are conducted for prospective adoptive parents when they are interested in adopting a child from a different state or area. Kids Hope United works with other agencies to ensure that prospective adoptive parents are moved through the adoption home study process in a timely manner while providing information and support regarding the adoption process.
