Required Experience: Five years of working in child welfare field with direct experience in child protection investigation, protective supervision or foster care.

Degree Type/Area: Master's degree in social work or related field required.

Certification: State of Florida Child Protection certification required.

Description:

This position provides supervision of Case Managers in the delivery of services in accordance with programmatic guidelines. Knowledge of HomeSafenet, child maltreatment matrix and community resources is required. Ability to assess risk, safety and well-being of children and families is required. Must possess excellent writing and public speaking skills. The Case Manager Supervisor reports to the Director of Programs.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct supervision of Case Managers.
  • Oversees case responsibilities and provides guidance in case planning.
  • Staffs all cases with Case Managers weekly.
  • Reviews all written documents generated by Case Managers.
  • Works with staff to ensure permanency for clients.
  • Completes various outcome reports as required.
  • Conducts regular unit meetings with Case Managers.
  • Attends court hearings, case reviews, staffing and meetings.
  • Ensures required documents are in case files.
  • Ensures unusual incidents are handled by staff promptly and effectively.
  • Provides Case Managers with training, education, ongoing supervision and support.
  • Works with CQI to ensure quality of service and the achievement of program outcome goals.
  • Participates in various groups to promote agency programs and to network within the community.
